Finke Gardens was launched in 1987 with Rich and Luann Finke’s goals of providing a broader palette of plants for Nebraska gardens and helping people make better decisions about how they are used in their landscape. The Finkes’ educational background as graduates of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Horticulture Department and employees of the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum, served as the foundation for building a company focused on growing quality plants - new introductions, overlooked favorites and native gems. From the beginning, their services included sustainable landscape design and educational programs with informative signage, classes and newsletters. The Finkes believe that educated consumers and their offering of quality plants grown right here on North 66th Street are keys to the success of both their plantings and business.
